Sony just dropped "It Happens on PS5," a big-budget ad stacked with GTA 6, Marvel's Wolverine, and Helldivers 2 footage.
It's supposed to hype you up for the console's lineup.

No more new PlayStation games on disc, full stop. Digital only, going forward.
Sony's reasoning is simple â digital sales are already sitting around 82%, so this is just "following consumer trends."

Total pricing control shifts to Sony â no competition from used game prices means the PlayStation Store sets the rules, permanently.
Digital's convenient. Nobody's arguing that. But convenient and fair aren't the same thing, and this is a company deciding that for you, not asking.
So Where Does This Leave Us
Sony's PR team is going to be stuck fielding "discs don't happen on PS5" for a very long time, and honestly, they earned it.
